The aim of the study was to assess the impact of cytoflavin and bioflavin therapy on the dynamics of clinical and psychophysiological status of patients with Osteochondrosis. 150 patients with osteochondrosis of a backbone were investigated. The patients were divided into two groups using method of randomization: the main group - 75 patients - and control group -75 patients. All patients received a standard treatment (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, myorelaxants, chondroprotectors, as well as physiotherapy). The main group in addition to standard treatment received biofeedback therapy and cytoflavin. The results showed that cytoflavin and biofeedback therapy significantly enhanced the positive effect of standard treatment and significantly increased the quality of life of patients. It is recommended to treat elderly patients with neurological complications of spinal osteochondrosis with Cytoflavin in combination with biofeedback therapy Before prescribing biofeedback therapy and Cytoflavin it is necessary to take into account a number of positive and negative predictors of their effectiveness in reducing severity of pain syndrome.

We conducted a study of 220 patients in polyclinic № 91 in St. Petersburg. It was revealed that elderly patients with osteochondrosis are characterized by a high prevalence and severity of osteochondrosis against the background of metabolic disorders in the structures of the spine. At the same time, the actual condition of the spine does not always determine the severity of the pain syndrome. The effect of osteochondrosis on the development of comorbid pathology has been clarified. The ways of correction of the clinical and psychophysiological status of elderly patients with osteochondrosis such as appointment of Cytoflavin, behavioral therapy and biofeed back therapy are suggested.

The physical rehabilitation of the patients presenting with neurological manifestations of osteochondrosis in the lumbar spine region remains a challenging problem due to the high prevalence of this condition. Vibration training in the form of graduated vibration impacts was shownto induce muscular stimulation, activate metabolic processes by promoting microcirculation, stimulate operation of the complex proprioceptive apparatus with a rise in the energy level of the gamma-system, and lead to the development of long-term post-activation alterations in the muscular fibers. These observations give reason to consider vibration therapy as a most promising method for the combined treatment of a variety of diseases affecting human subjects. We have developed a set of exercises for the vibration platform training consisting of three main parts (preparative, basic, and concluding components).

The physical rehabilitation of the patients presenting with neurological manifestations of osteochondrosis in the lumbar spine region remains a challenging problem due not only to the high prevalence of this condition but also to its substantial financial burden. Vibration training provides be a promising tool to address this problem. We studied 50 patients with neurological manifestations of osteochondrosis in the lumbar spine region recommended vibration training as a rehabilitative treatment. The objective assessment of its outcome was made based on the results of biokinematic videoanalysis of the movements and the scales for the evaluation of pain syndrome intensity. This approach allowed the clinical efficacy of vibration training following the recommended schedule to be verified.

The effect of two methods of the treatment (traditional and in combination with lascropuncture infrared radiation and manual therapy) on clinical symptoms of vertebral refractory pain syndroms was studied in 120 patients with neck-pectoral osteochondrosis. The empirical knowledge confirmed the necessity of expediency of these methods in the treatment of this pathology.

A group of 830 patients with spondylogenic visceropathies was divided into three with clinical symptoms of bronchial (n = 80), cardiac (n = 530), and abdominal (n = 220) vertebral syndromes. Their clinical features, differential diagnosis and methods of treatment are described.

The objective of the present study was to elucidate effects of therapeutic and preventive measures on restoration of compromised erectile function in patients with osteochondrosis of the lumbosacral spine segment (LSSS). The patients were treated using corporal and auricular acupuncture, Narzan mineral water baths, manual therapy, remedial gymnastics, and psychotherapeutic correction of sexual dysadaptation. This combined treatment resulted in the elimination of algic syndrome in 77.5% of the patients, restoration of sexual function in 62.5%, and normalization of hemodynamics in cavernous bodies in 65.2%. The functional activity of the hypothalamo-pituitary-testicular axis was normalized in 65% of the LSSS patients of strong and moderate sexual constitution. Introduction of acupuncture in the combined medicamentous therapy increased its efficiency by 15%. In 57.5% of the patients with strong and moderate sexual constitution, the restored sexual function persisted for at least 12 months.

The content of the major components of the extracellular matrix was studied in 60 patients with spinal osteochondrosis over time during complex rehabilitative therapy including radon-containing mineral baths (before, 7-9 and 14-15 days after treatment). The complex rehabilitative treatment using radon baths in patients with spinal osteochondrosis was shown to result in a reduction in the serum level of glycosaminoglycans (GAG) and total oxyproline by the end of a course of therapy, which suggests the lower rate of destructive processes in the extracellular matrix. The determination of GAG concentrations and oxyproline forms in patients with asteochondrosis may be used to evaluate the efficiency of the treatment performed.

A total of 136 patients with clinical symptoms of thoracic osteochondrosis and reflex vertebrocardiac disorders were examined. 100 of them presented with vertebrogenic cardialgia and CHD, 36 had no CHD. 56 patients with clinical symptoms of thoracic osteochondrosis and CHD received traditional therapy and a course of intraosseous blockade (IOB). 56 patients with clinical symptoms of thoracic osteochondrosis and CHD received traditional therapy and a course of paravertebral blockade (PVB). 36 patients with clinical symptoms of thoracic osteochondrosis without CHD received a course of IOB. Efficiency of therapy was assessed from dynamics of pain syndrome parameters, data of the visual analog scale, McGill and body diagram questionnaires, changes of cardiac function and heart rhythm recorded by 24-hr Holter monitoring. Therapeutic efficiency of IOB in patients with vertebrogenic cardialgia with and without CHD was higher than that of PVB in patients with clinical symptoms of thoracic osteochondrosis and CHD. It is concluded that osteogenic factor plays a key role in the mechanism of development of vertebrogenic cardialgia.

The article deals with an investigation of therapeutic efficiency combined with applications of biological preparations and special medical-improving gymnastic exercises at treatment of a vertebral cervical osteochondrosis on the one hand, traditional means on the other hand. 76 patients aged 31-62 have taken part in the given research. The basic group was made by 47 patients and the control group - by 29. The patients of the basic group applied a special complex of medical-improving gymnastic exercises, and also paravertebral injections of biological preparations Traumeel S, Neuralgo-Rheum-Injeel. The patients of the control group received traditional therapy of a vertebral osteochondrosis. Injections of Voltaren (Diclofenac) intramuscularly, MIG400 (Ibuprophen) tablets, phonophorez with Indometacin ointment, a traditional complex of physiotherapy exercises. Duration of the treatment in all groups has made 28 days. Obtained data testify that by the end of treatment full knocking over of a pain syndrome in the basic group is noted at 71,2 % of patients, in control group only in 41,4 % of patients the pains have completely disappeared in a cervical spine. Thus, therapy by biological preparations in a combination to a complex of special medical-improving gymnastic exercises allows to reduce terms of knocking over of sharp clinical displays of an osteochondrosis of a cervical spine, to raise efficiency of restoration of sensitive, vascular, muscular-tonic frustration, and also allows to avoid neuro-surgical intervention at patients with hernias interspine disks.
